Uttar Pradesh Attracts ₹21,000 Crore in Data Center Investments
Uttar Pradesh has become a big hub for digital investments.
The state government made a special plan in 2021 to build data centers, which are like big computer storage places.
This plan has attracted a lot of money, around ₹21,343 crore, from investors.
The government wanted to build three data centers initially, but they did so well that they increased the target to eight.
Now, seven of these data centers are already working.
This shows that Uttar Pradesh is becoming a important place for digital technology in India.
The government's good policies and a big investors' meeting in 2023 helped make this happen.
Uttar Pradesh's Data Center Policy has attracted ₹21,343 crore in investments.
The policy, notified in January 2021, initially targeted three data center parks with 250 MW capacity, which was achieved within the first year.
The revised policy increased targets to eight data center parks and 900 MW capacity with an estimated investment of ₹30,000 crore.
Six data center parks and two smaller units have been approved, with seven projects already operational.
The Global Investors Summit in February 2023 played a key role in showcasing Uttar Pradesh's investment potential.
