Maharashtra Allots Sion Plot to VHP
The Maharashtra government has given a big piece of land in Sion to an organization called VHP.
They can use this land for 30 years to build hospitals or schools.
The land is about 7,658 square meters, which is like a big sports field.
The VHP has to pay a small rent every year and a big one-time fee.
The city government will make sure that VHP only uses the land for hospitals or schools, not for anything else.
The land will officially be given to VHP on June 25, 2025.
Maharashtra government approved the allotment of a 7,658.33-square-metre plot in Sion to the VHP for 30 years.
The plot will be used for medical or educational purposes as per the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act.
The VHP must pay an annual rent of Rs 10,186 and a one-time premium of Rs 9.72 crore.
Occupancy will begin on June 25, 2025, and the BMC will ensure compliance with the allowed activities.
