Centre Grants IPS Status to Seven Telangana Non-Cadre SPs

The Centre has given seven police officers in Telangana a new status.

They will now have Indian Police Service status.

These officers were working as non-cadre superintendents of police.

The Union home ministry sent an official order about the decision.

The order applies from Tuesday.

Two of the officers named are Puligilla Ravinder and B. Sri Baladevi.

Telangana’s police department had proposed the change.

Their service and performance were considered before approval.
