Sony India Reports Mixed FY25 Results
Sony India, a part of the big Japanese company Sony, shared its financial results for the year ending in March 2025.
The company made more money from selling its products, like TVs and audio devices, but its overall profit went down a bit.
This is because some of its other costs, like paying its parent company for using its brand and spending on ads, went up.
Sony India is doing better than a few years ago when it stopped selling phones and laptops, and it hopes to become one of the top three markets for Sony soon.
Right now, it's the fourth biggest market after the US, China, and Japan.
Sony India's revenue from operations increased by 2.44% to ₹7,851.08 crore in FY25.
Total profit decreased by nearly 6% to ₹157.03 crore in the same period.
Total income, including other income, rose by 2.45% to ₹7,917.54 crore.
Advertising expenses increased by 2.61% to ₹183.71 crore.
Revenue from the 'Consumer Audio and Visuals' segment grew by 3.63% to ₹6,528.99 crore.
