Asus and Lenovo Googlebook Laptops Leak Ahead of IFA 2026
Google is making new laptops called Googlebook.
Pictures of two of these laptops were leaked before Google showed them off officially.
The leaked pictures show models made by two companies, Asus and Lenovo.
Google said in May that it is working with several computer companies to make these laptops.
The Googlebook laptops will work like a phone and a computer put together, using both ChromeOS and Android.
They will also have Google's smart assistant features, which are called Gemini.
The laptops are thin, and they have a glowing bar on the lid that can light up for notifications and charging, like on Google's Pixel phones.
The Asus laptop is made from a special light and strong material, so it is easier to carry.
We will likely see the real Googlebook laptops at a big technology show called IFA, which is in Berlin next month.
Leaked renders shared by Digitalcitizen reveal the designs of upcoming Asus and Lenovo Googlebook laptops.
Google introduced the Googlebook lineup in May, with Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo as first-generation partners.
The laptops combine ChromeOS and Android and bring Gemini Intelligence, the Chrome browser, and Google Play Store to laptops.
Both models feature a slim profile and a glow bar in the lid, which may work like the HiLight indicator on the Pixel 11 series.
The Asus model uses an Ultra-Ceramic Light Alloy chassis claimed to be 34 percent lighter and 13 percent stronger, with both laptops expected to debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin.
