Flights Cancelled Due to Dense Fog
On Wednesday and Friday, many flights were cancelled or delayed because of very thick fog.
This happened at airports in Mohali and Delhi, as well as other places like Amritsar, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Patna.
The fog made it hard for planes to see, so airlines like Air India, Air India Express, and IndiGo had to cancel flights to keep everyone safe.
Passengers who were affected could get a full refund or change their flight without paying extra.
The cancellations and delays caused some trouble for people who were supposed to travel that day.
Nine flights were cancelled at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Mohali due to dense fog.
Three arrival flights from Pune, Delhi, and Hisar were among those cancelled in Mohali.
Air India, Air India Express, and IndiGo issued advisories and cancelled or delayed flights due to dense fog in Delhi and other northern and eastern parts of India.
Passengers were offered full refunds or the option to reschedule without additional charges.
A total of 177 flights were cancelled and nearly 500 flights were delayed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday.
