In Assam, India, people are helping a special kind of turtle called the black softshell turtle.

These turtles are in danger, so they collected turtle eggs and kept them safe until they hatched.

Then, they released 220 baby turtles into two different places in Kaziranga National Park.

A local leader, Padma Hazarika, was there to support the event.

This is part of a bigger effort to protect these turtles and keep the wetlands healthy.
