Pregnant Constable Assaulted by Husband in Mumbai Police Station
A pregnant police officer named Vanita Hajare was attacked by her husband, Vinayak Ghadge, inside their police station in Mumbai.
This happened because of a long argument about money and how her husband's family treated her.
Hajare said her in-laws were mean to her since she got married in 2021.
They made fun of her for not bringing gold and not cooking well.
Her husband, who she says drinks too much, also hit her and asked for her salary.
He even made her pay for a truck and a flat he bought.
When she said no to giving him more money, he hit her in the police station.
Now, the police have filed a case against her husband and his family.
A 37-year-old pregnant constable, Vanita Hajare, was assaulted by her husband, Vinayak Ghadge, inside the Andheri police station.
The assault followed a long-standing domestic dispute, including financial harassment and allegations of alcoholism.
Hajare's in-laws are also accused of mental and physical harassment for several years.
Ghadge demanded money to redeem mortgaged gold and pay EMIs on a truck and flat in Panvel, leading to the assault.
An FIR has been registered against Ghadge, his mother, and three sisters under Section 85 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and other relevant provisions.
