Kerala Families Relocated Due to Heavy Rains
Imagine lots of rain is coming, and it might cause the ground to slide down.
Because of this, nine families in a place called Vilangad had to move to a safer spot.
These families, including grown-ups and kids, went to a special camp set up in a school.
They moved because heavy rains could cause the ground to move, like it did before when there was a landslide.
The families are now safe in a place where they can stay while the rain and potential dangers pass.
Nine families were moved from Manjacheeli in Vilangad.
The families consist of 13 men, 12 women, and 11 children.
They were moved to a rehabilitation camp.
The camp is at St. George High School in Vilangad.
The area had a landslide on July 31, 2024.
