Pune Women Protest Sexual Violence, Demand Swift Justice
Women and other citizens gathered in Pune to protest sexual violence.
They said women should not lose their freedom because some people commit crimes.
Protesters carried signs asking for respect, consent and equal rights.
They opposed telling women what to wear, where to go or when to come home.
They said the police and government must focus on stopping crimes and catching offenders.
The gathering followed a case involving the alleged assault of a minor girl in Vishrantwadi.
Protesters also mentioned cases in Jamui and Delhi.
They asked authorities to protect survivors and their families.
