India to Host AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi
India is going to host a big meeting called the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi in 2026.
This meeting is important because it will be the first time a country from the Global South (which includes many developing countries) is hosting such an event.
The goal is to talk about how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used in a way that helps everyone, especially people in developing countries.
The meeting will focus on things like making sure AI is safe, includes everyone, and helps the planet.
Important people like the head of the United Nations will be there.
India and France are working together to make this meeting happen.
India will host the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi on February 19-20, 2026.
This will be the first AI summit hosted in the Global South, with previous summits held in Bletchley Park (UK), Seoul, and Paris.
The summit aims to commit to shared solutions and enable the Global South to shape the global AI agenda.
The event is anchored in the principles of People, Planet, and Progress, focusing on inclusive growth and safeguarding the planet.
Key areas of cooperation include human capital, social inclusion, safe AI, resilience, scientific collaboration, equitable access, and economic growth.
