Punjab Congress Chief Questions Mann Over Drug Deaths

Punjab Congress Chief Questions Mann Over Drug Deaths

Punjab is still reporting deaths linked to drugs.

Congress leader Amarinder Singh Raja Warring asked Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to explain what is happening.

The government had said the drug supply network would be dismantled by May 31, 2025.

Warring asked why deaths were still being reported if that promise had been fulfilled.

He referred to reports of seven deaths in 10 days in four Punjab districts.

He also asked whether officials found where the drugs came from.

Another question concerned whether senior police officers had been held responsible.

Finally, he asked when the people at the top of the drug trade would be arrested.
