Russia Rejects Ukraine War Damages Commission
Some European countries started a special group to help Ukraine get money for the damage caused by Russia's attacks.
But Russia says this group doesn't have any real power over them and thinks it's just a way for Europe to spread negative stories about Russia.
The damage in Ukraine is estimated to be in the hundreds of billions of dollars.
Russia's foreign ministry stated that the International Claims Commission for Ukraine has no legal force for Moscow.
The commission was launched by European powers to compensate Ukraine for war damages and alleged war crimes.
Russia claims the commission is an attempt to spread propaganda against it.
The estimated damages in Ukraine are hundreds of billions of dollars.
The commission was initiated on Tuesday, December 18, 2023.
