Democrats test messaging in blue wall states ahead of 2028
Every four years, Americans vote for their president.
The Democratic Party is one of the two big teams in American politics.
Democrats want to win back the White House, where the president lives and works.
Right now, a man named Donald Trump is the president.
He won some very important states in 2016 and 2024.
Those states are Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Democrats used to win those states a lot, and together they were called the 'blue wall.'
But Trump broke through that wall.
Democrats think the best way to win the presidency in 2028 is to win those states again.
So they are testing their messages with real voters in those states to get ready.
Democrats are setting up a high-stakes, real-world messaging test in the states most important to recapturing the US presidency.
The most direct path back to the White House for Democrats in 2028 is to retake Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
President Donald Trump dislodged those three states from the Democratic 'blue wall' in 2016 and 2024.
The test runs in key states may help Democrats pick a candidate for the 2028 election.
The three states were once grouped together as part of what has been called the 'blue wall.'
