Apple’s New Conversational Siri Arrives With Strict Device Limits
Apple is giving Siri a major artificial-intelligence upgrade in iOS 27.
The new Siri is meant to understand normal conversations better than the older version.
It can use information from apps such as Mail, Calendar and Notes.
It can also help write messages, make Shortcuts, create pictures and understand what the camera sees.
Siri’s new features need powerful hardware, so older iPhones will not receive all of them.
Compatible iPhones start with the iPhone 15 Pro.
Apple is also adding related features to some Apple Watches and AirPods.
The launch starts in English and is not initially available in the European Union or China.
Other languages are expected to arrive in October.
