Kuwait Introduces Multiple-Trip Exit Permits for Expatriate Workers
Kuwait has started a new service called multiple-trip exit permits for workers from other countries.
Before, these workers needed permission every time they wanted to leave and come back to Kuwait.
Now, they can get a permit that lets them travel multiple times within a certain period.
This makes things easier for both the workers and their employers.
The permits can be applied for online through special websites or apps.
The government says this new system will make things faster and less complicated.
Starting next year, all expatriate workers in the private sector will need to get permission from their employers before they can leave the country.
The goal is to make sure everything is fair and well-organised.
Kuwait introduces multiple-trip exit permits for expatriate workers to ease travel and reduce administrative burdens.
Permits can be applied for digitally through the Ashal portal or Sahel app, with automatic approval for authorised signatories.
The service is integrated with the Ministry of Interior’s systems for seamless processing.
Expatriate workers in the private sector will need mandatory exit permits starting July 1, 2026.
The reform aims to balance the rights of employees and employers while modernising labour procedures.
