Government Expands Vocational Training in Schools
The Indian government is making big changes to help students and small businesses.
They are adding vocational training to more schools so students can learn job skills earlier.
Over 35 lakh students are already taking these courses in more than 25,000 schools.
The government is also setting up special labs and using a hub-and-spoke model to share resources.
They have created a system called the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) to help students move between different types of education and training.
For small businesses, the government has saved many from financial trouble and introduced new schemes to provide loans and support.
They are also spending more money on training programs to help people get better jobs.
Vocational training is being introduced in over 25,000 schools with 35 lakh students enrolled.
A hub-and-spoke model allows schools without workshops to use nearby facilities.
1,200 vocational labs have been set up in Navodaya Vidyalayas and Eklavya schools.
The Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) enables students to transfer credits between different education and training programs.
The government has saved 14.6 lakh MSME accounts from becoming non-performing assets (NPAs) through the ECLGS scheme.
