Karnataka HC Denies Bail to Ex-MUDA Commissioner in Money Laundering Case
The Karnataka High Court has refused to grant bail to a former official named G T Dinesh Kumar, who is accused of money laundering.
The court said that there is enough evidence to suggest he might be guilty, and his time in jail so far (127 days) is not long enough to warrant release.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has accused him of being involved in illegal land deals worth a lot of money.
The court did say he can ask for bail again if the trial doesn't start soon.
Meanwhile, the case is connected to some allegations against Karnataka's Chief Minister and his family, but they have returned some disputed land and the court has not yet decided on those allegations.
