Pakistan Reactivates Terror Launchpads After Operation Sindoor
Pakistan has rebuilt and reactivated 72 terror launchpads near the Jammu frontier, close to the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC).
This happened almost seven months after India's Operation Sindoor damaged many Pakistani posts and terror infrastructure.
The BSF says that despite Pakistan's plan to move these launchpads to deeper areas, many have come back near the border.
They are using groups of 2-3 terrorists.
The BSF is watching these activities closely and using new technology to protect the borders.
They also mentioned that drones are a new threat, and they are preparing for future aerial conflicts.
The BSF has had success in preventing militant infiltration, with only four failed attempts in 2025, all of which were thwarted with no successful infiltrations.
Pakistan has reactivated 72 terror launchpads near the Jammu frontier, close to the International Border and LoC.
Operation Sindoor, launched by India on May 6-7, 2025, damaged 118 Pakistani posts and terror infrastructure.
Despite Pakistan's plan to move launchpads to deeper areas, 12 are active near the International Border, and 60 are near the LoC.
The BSF is using modern technology like ground surveillance radars, electro-optical thermals, UAVs, and counter-drone systems to monitor and protect the borders.
Drones have emerged as a new threat, and the BSF is training troops and installing counter-drone systems to address this.
