In the first part of the year, Tata Steel made more money than before, especially from its Indian operations.
The company also said that the new factory will help it reach a goal of making 40 million tonnes of steel in India.
Tata Steel board approved ₹33,873 crore to expand NINL capacity by 4.8 million tonnes.
Expansion will bring NINL capacity to 6.2 mt, part of plan to reach 40 mt in India.
Long products portfolio, especially retail, will be expanded to meet high demand.
