Tripura to Finish Elephant Corridor by Winter
Imagine elephants and people living near each other.
Sometimes, elephants go into villages looking for food and accidentally damage things.
The government is building a special path, like a highway for elephants, so they can travel safely.
This path, called an elephant corridor, will keep the elephants away from the villages and hopefully stop them from damaging crops and houses.
The government hopes that by helping the elephants, it will also help the villagers, making sure everyone is safe and happy.
The project is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
An elephant corridor is being built along NH-8 in Tripura.
The project is expected to be completed by the upcoming winter season.
The corridor aims to reduce human-elephant conflict.
The forest department is collaborating with the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited.
The region is home to around 40 elephants.
