Calcutta High Court Grants Sreelekha Mitra Interim Relief

Actress Sreelekha Mitra is facing several police cases over a poster shown at a protest.

The poster allegedly showed Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a derogatory way.

The protest happened in Kolkata in July.

Students were protesting after allegations of a NEET-UG paper leak.

The Calcutta High Court said it was unhappy about the alleged poster.

However, the court temporarily protected Mitra from coercive action.

This protection lasts until December 24.

She must cooperate with the investigation.

Police must give her at least 48 hours’ notice before asking her to appear.

The court can cancel the protection if she does not cooperate.
