Bengaluru Metro's Yellow Line Set to Open in August 2025
Imagine a new subway line, the Yellow Line, opening in Bengaluru.
It's like a long train track underground!
It should start running in August 2025.
At first, only a few trains will run, carrying about as many people as would fill a large school.
The trains will run all day and night, taking about an hour and twenty minutes for the whole trip.
By the time all the trains are running, more people than live in a small town will be riding it every day!
The people in charge think this will bring in a lot of money.
They will have special people and guards to help everyone get around.
Bengaluru's Namma Metro Yellow Line is set to launch in August 2025, spanning 19.15 km.
Initially, three trains will operate, with an expected 25,000 daily passengers.
Full service, including 15 trains, is anticipated by 2026, potentially serving 2 lakh riders.
Trains will run from 5 AM to 11 PM, with a full trip taking 80 minutes and frequencies of 20-25 minutes.
Revenue is estimated at ₹10–15 lakh daily initially, rising to ₹60 lakh with full operation.
