Switzerland Leads Global Ranking for Monthly Take-Home Pay
The ranking compares how much workers keep each month after estimated deductions.
Switzerland is in first place, with workers taking home about $8,282 monthly.
Iceland is second, but its figure is much lower than Switzerland’s.
Luxembourg, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands follow.
The United States ranks sixth with estimated take-home pay of $4,638.
Several other countries, including Norway, Australia, Denmark and Ireland, are also in the top 10.
Germany has a lower take-home amount despite having high estimated deductions.
Mexico and Colombia are at the bottom of the comparison.
The gap between Switzerland and Colombia is nearly 13 times.
Switzerland ranks first with estimated monthly take-home pay of $8,282 from a gross salary of $10,112.
Iceland ranks second at $5,873, followed by Luxembourg at $5,013.
The United Kingdom, Netherlands, United States, Norway, Australia, Denmark and Ireland complete the top 10.
Germany has estimated monthly take-home pay of $3,872 and deductions of $2,444, among the highest in the comparison.
Colombia records the lowest figure at $649, while Mexico is also near the bottom at $795.
