Israel Says Hamas Commander Behind Sufa Attack Eliminated

Israel said its military killed a Hamas commander named Muhammad Mahmoud Marshad Al-Qadi.

Israel says he led an attack on the Sufa outpost on October 7.

It also says he helped keep hostages in captivity in the Rafah area.

The military accused him of training fighters and preparing more attacks.

Separately, Israeli troops carried out a 48-hour operation near Nablus in the West Bank.

They said they destroyed more than 30 machines used to make weapons.

They also seized guns and ammunition.

More than 10 people suspected of terrorism were arrested, according to Israel.
