Badrinath Redevelopment Works Halted Due to Cold
The Badrinath shrine is a very important place for many people.
Workers were trying to make it better by doing some construction work.
But it has become too cold there, with temperatures dropping to -8 to -10 degrees Celsius.
The workers couldn't handle the cold anymore, so they had to stop working and go to warmer places.
The officials said they will start the work again in March when it gets warmer.
The cold is so bad that even the afternoons are very chilly.
So, for now, all the construction work at the shrine has been stopped until the weather gets better.
Redevelopment works at Badrinath shrine have been suspended due to extreme cold.
Temperatures have dropped to -8 to -10 degrees Celsius, making work conditions unbearable.
More than 50 workers have left the shrine area and moved to lower, warmer places.
The Joshimath Project Implementation Unit (PIU) has halted all construction works.
Work is expected to resume in March once the cold subsides.
