CMC Seeks Criminal Action After Hyderabad Building Collapse

A seven-storey building collapsed in Anjaiahnagar, Hyderabad.

The city corporation says the building did not have the required construction permission.

Officials had sent a warning notice on June 17.

The notice also said the building did not have the required open spaces around it.

Officials now want police to take criminal action against the owners and others.

They say construction continued even after the warning.

A report also mentioned possible poor-quality materials.

It said there may not have been proper technical supervision during construction.
