Rajasthan Renames Mohammadpura Village to Mohanpura
The Rajasthan government has changed the name of a village called Mohammadpura to Mohanpura.
This village is in the Kota district and has only Hindu families living there.
The old name was from a long time ago when a police officer named Mohammad was in charge.
The villagers wanted the name changed because it didn't match who lives there.
The government agreed and officially changed the name in all their records.
The villagers are happy about this change and thanked the people who helped make it happen.
Rajasthan government renamed Mohammadpura village to Mohanpura in Digod tehsil, Kota district.
The village has over 60 households, all belonging to the Hindu community.
The name change was approved by the Union Home Ministry and implemented by the Rajasthan Revenue Department.
Villagers had long demanded the change, citing the village's demographic composition.
The formal implementation process will begin once instructions are received from the District Collector.
