Telangana Devotees Offer Bangaru Bonam to Kanaka Durga in Vijayawada
On Sunday, devotees from Hyderabad in Telangana offered a special golden offering called Bangaru Bonam to Goddess Sri Kanaka Durga in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
This event is part of the Ashada month celebrations and the Mahankali Bonalu festival.
The offering has been happening for 17 years and involves a big procession with over 500 artistes.
Important people from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were present.
They prayed for good rain, a successful farming season, and the well-being of farmers in both states.
The Andhra Pradesh government and temple authorities helped make the event run smoothly.
Devotees from Hyderabad offered Bangaru Bonam to Goddess Sri Kanaka Durga in Vijayawada as part of Ashada month celebrations.
The offering has been a tradition for the past 17 years, organized by the Bhagyanagar Sri Mahankali Jatara Bonalu Utsavala United Temples Procession Committee.
Former Telangana minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and other dignitaries from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh participated in the event.
The procession included over 500 artistes and was managed with drone-assisted traffic control for smooth darshan.
The event aimed to strengthen the cultural and spiritual bond between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and to pray for abundant rainfall and prosperity.
