Kerala CM Satheesan faces internal party discontent

Kerala's new Chief Minister, V D Satheesan, is facing criticism from within his own party, the Congress.

Senior leaders are unhappy because they feel he is making important decisions without considering the party's organization.

One big argument is about who should decide on certain government jobs.

The student wing of the party, called KSU, objected to one appointment, but the Chief Minister said they shouldn't be involved.

Other leaders, like V M Sudheeran and K C Venugopal, have supported the KSU and said the Chief Minister should listen to criticism.

They remember how Satheesan himself used to criticize the previous government and want him to do the same now.

The Chief Minister's office and the departments he directly handles have been the source of most controversies so far.

Many senior leaders have not publicly defended the Chief Minister, showing the growing tension within the party.
