Major Fires Break Out in Pune and Guwahati
Two big fires happened in different cities.
One was in Pune on a commercial building's roof, and the other was in Guwahati at a shopping mall.
The Pune fire started around 11:45 in the morning, and the Guwahati fire started very early in the morning around 12:35 AM.
Firefighters from both cities worked hard to put out the fires.
No one was hurt in either fire.
The Guwahati mall had a bank branch that got badly damaged, and some people think the fire might have started from decorations for the festive season.
Both fires have made people worried about fire safety in public places.
A massive fire broke out on the terrace of a commercial building in Sadashiv Peth, Pune around 11:45 AM on Tuesday.
Four fire tenders were deployed by the Pune City Fire Brigade to combat the blaze, with no casualties reported.
A pre-dawn fire tore through a shopping mall complex on Guwahati’s GS Road around 12:35 AM on Wednesday.
Twenty-five fire tenders were deployed to the scene in Guwahati, with no casualties reported as of the initial assessment.
The Guwahati mall, which houses several clothing outlets and a major SBI branch, suffered extensive damage, with the cause of the fire possibly linked to light decorations for the festive season.
