Rural Ministry Spending and Budget Allocations
The Rural Development Ministry in India has been spending less money than usual.
In the first nine months of this year, they only used 51% of the money they were given, which is the lowest in nine years.
This is less than the 63% they spent last year during the same time.
The ministry runs important programs like MGNREGS and PM Awaas Yojana.
The government wants ministries to spend money carefully and not wait until the last few months of the year to spend a lot at once.
For the next fiscal year, the government has allocated more money for rural jobs and other schemes to help the rural economy.
This includes new schemes like the VB-G RAM G and continued support for existing ones like MGNREGA and PM Awaas Yojana.
