Supreme Court Orders Shiv Sena Corporator To Surrender

Supreme Court Orders Shiv Sena Corporator To Surrender

The Supreme Court has told corporator Ramesh Mhatre to give himself up to the trial court by October 5.

The case concerns an alleged attack on doctors at a hospital in Dombivli.

Mhatre and other accused people had previously received bail.

The Supreme Court cancelled that bail.

It said the accused can surrender and ask the court for legal remedies.

If they do not surrender, the trial court can take steps to bring them into custody.

The court wants the trial finished within six months.

It also ordered protection for witnesses.

Another accused, Sadhana Karande, is already in jail.
