Veteran Photographer Says Mobile Photography Still Requires Skill
R.A. Dass is an experienced photographer from the Nilgiris.
He says photography is still an important art.
Phones make it easy for almost anyone to take pictures quickly.
But taking truly excellent photographs requires patience, creativity and knowledge of light.
In the past, photographers used film and processed it with chemicals in darkrooms.
Technology later brought digital cameras, mobile phones and artificial intelligence into photography.
Dass believes photographs can save memories and help people understand history.
They can also share feelings and ideas without using many words.
He says the Nilgiris is a good place to learn photography outdoors.
Nilgiris photographer R.A. Dass says photography still requires creativity, patience and technical knowledge.
