Nestflix Falcons Take First Flight
A live video stream called 'Nestflix' has been showing peregrine falcons living on a tall building in Melbourne.
People have been watching three baby falcons, called chicks, for weeks.
Recently, the chicks finally got brave enough to try flying for the first time.
Two of them flew perfectly, but one wiggled back onto the ledge before trying again and succeeding.
The show started a long time ago to help protect these amazing birds.
People all over Australia have been watching them grow, from hatching to their first flights, and sometimes even watching them fight over their home!
Three peregrine falcon chicks, stars of the 'Nestflix' livestream, took their first flights from a Melbourne building.
The chicks hatched in late September and have been observed for weeks on a 34-storey building at 367 Collins Street.
The livestream, which began with a webcam installation in 2017, follows the falcons' lives, including breeding and territorial disputes.
The Victorian Peregrine Project, established in 1991, aims to protect the species, with nests typically kept 1.6km apart due to their territorial nature.
The livestream has gained significant popularity, with a Facebook fan page boasting over 50,000 members.
