Bihar is dealing with flooding after heavy rain in Nepal and nearby parts of the state.

The Gandak River has flooded some low-lying areas.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary visited affected areas and checked the river levels and embankments.

He told officials to stay ready for emergencies.

The Gandak Barrage released a very large amount of water, but the flow later began to decrease.

Other rivers, including the Kosi and Sone, were still rising.

Boats are being used to help people move or evacuate.
