Taliban Flexes Muscle, Flaunts Firepower as Pakistan Army Abandons Outposts
Imagine two groups guarding a long fence between their yards.
One group, called the TTP, has gotten a lot of new, powerful toys and is showing them off.
They've also set up their own checkpoints and told the other group's guards to leave their posts.
Because the TTP seems so much stronger now, the guards from the other group, the Pakistan Army, are getting scared and leaving their guarding spots unmanned.
The TTP has said they have enough weapons to keep fighting for a long time.
This is happening in an area called Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, near the fence that separates Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The TTP wants to change how Pakistan is run.
Sometimes, groups like this try to talk and have peace, but it doesn't always work out.
Pakistan Army soldiers are reportedly abandoning border outposts along the Durand Line.
This abandonment is due to fears of being outgunned by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The TTP has recently amassed significant ammunition and firepower.
TTP militants have been seen setting up check posts and warning Pakistani soldiers to leave their positions.
The TTP, also known as the Pakistani Taliban, aims to overthrow the Pakistani state and impose strict Sharia rule.
