President Murmu Cancels Jalandhar Visit
President Droupadi Murmu was supposed to go to Jalandhar for a special school event called a convocation ceremony.
But because the weather was very bad with lots of fog, she had to cancel her visit.
She had already been in Amritsar the day before and spoke at another school event.
The convocation ceremony in Jalandhar still happened, but instead of the President, the Governor of Punjab attended.
Many important people had a dinner in the President's honor the night before in Amritsar.
President Droupadi Murmu cancelled her visit to Jalandhar for the 21st convocation ceremony of the Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology due to bad weather.
The convocation ceremony was held as scheduled with Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria in attendance.
President Murmu had previously addressed a convocation function at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar on Thursday.
The cancellation was announced by Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal.
Dense fog in Punjab contributed to the decision to cancel the President's visit.
