Haryana Forms High-Power Panel to Address Adani Power PPA Issues
The Haryana government has set up a special committee to solve problems with power agreements between the state and Adani Power.
The committee, led by a former Supreme Court judge, will look at issues with the Mundra Thermal Power Plant, which supplies electricity to Haryana.
The plant has been facing financial difficulties because the cost of coal and other supplies has gone up, making it hard to supply power at the agreed prices.
The committee will check if Adani Power has faced any hardships and suggest ways to fix these problems.
They will also look at the rights and responsibilities of both Adani Power and Haryana's power companies.
The goal is to find fair solutions and make sure the power supply is reliable and affordable for people in Haryana.
The committee has 180 days to make their recommendations.
