Baloch Activists Condemn Killing of Youth After Enforced Disappearance
A young man named Adeel was killed in Balochistan by a group linked to the Pakistani government.
Before this, he had been taken away by security forces and was missing for almost a year.
Human rights groups, including the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and Baloch Voice For Justice (BVJ), are very upset.
They say that instead of getting help, people who disappear are now being killed.
These groups want the world to know what is happening and to investigate to stop this from happening again.
Baloch activists condemned the extrajudicial killing of Adeel by a Pakistani government-backed death squad.
Adeel was shot dead in Turbat, Balochistan, after being released from an enforced disappearance.
Adeel was previously abducted by Pakistani security forces on March 8, 2023.
His family faced threats and pressure not to participate in the BYC's long march.
Human rights organizations are calling for investigations into the killing and an end to enforced disappearances.
