IIT-M Incubated Mindgrove to Launch IoT Chips in Six Months
Imagine a company in India, Mindgrove, that's making tiny computer chips for all sorts of devices like smartwatches and security cameras.
They're like the brains of these devices!
They're about to start selling their chips to companies.
These chips are made in India, and the government wants more companies to use Indian-made chips.
Mindgrove is also working on a new chip that's even better, especially for cameras and smart devices.
They recently got money to help them make and sell their chips, which will be ready in about six months.
Mindgrove Technologies, incubated at IIT-M, is set to launch its Secure IoT chips commercially in approximately six months.
The company has placed its first mass manufacturing order for the chips with its foundry partner.
Mindgrove is developing a second chip, Vision SoC, for high-performance edge computing, including CCTV cameras.
The company is targeting segments requiring Indian-made chips, aligning with government security mandates for CCTV vendors.
Mindgrove closed an $8 million Series A funding round in December 2024 to bring its product to market and design the second chip.
