Amit Thackeray Accepts Police Notice for Unveiling Shivaji Memorial
Amit Thackeray, a leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), accepted a police notice for uncovering a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Nerul without permission.
He went to the police station with many MNS supporters.
The police gave him a notice saying he should help with their investigation.
This happened because he uncovered the statue during an MNS event, which made some people argue.
The city officials said the statue's opening was delayed because of some paperwork.
Thackeray said he's happy if his first political case is about fighting for Shivaji.
