Aphale Appointed First Secretary of Ram Temple Trust Amid Theft Row
A new person named Jagdish Aphale was chosen to be the boss of the Ram Temple Trust in Ayodhya.
He is an engineer who studied at IIT Bombay and works for a group called the RSS.
The trust had a problem because some people said money and gifts were stolen.
The government is looking into it.
Aphale will help run the trust and sign money documents.
The trust’s board said this on September 2, 2026.
Some other people who were in charge left or were removed because of the problem.
The Supreme Court is also watching the investigation.
The new secretary is meant to make people trust the trust again.
Jagdish Aphale, IIT Bombay alumnus and RSS functionary, appointed as first secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
Appointment made amid allegations of donation theft and embezzlement at the Ram Temple, prompting a Special Investigation Team and Supreme Court scrutiny.
Aphale will serve as an authorised signatory for the trust’s bank accounts, alongside interim general secretary Krishna Mohan.
The trust’s executive committee approved the new secretary role, with formal ratification scheduled for September 2.
