Meloni Hopes to Nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize
Giorgia Meloni, the leader of Italy, said she hopes Donald Trump can help end the war in Ukraine.
If he does, she wants to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize, which is a big award given to people who work for peace.
Trump has a group called the 'Board of Peace' that tries to solve international conflicts.
Italy wants to join this group, but there are rules that stop Italy from doing so because Trump leads it.
Meloni asked Trump to change the rules so more countries can join and help make a difference.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed hope to nominate Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize if he resolves the Ukraine conflict.
Meloni mentioned this during a press conference after meeting German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
Trump has expressed frustration at not winning the Nobel Peace Prize and has formed a 'Board of Peace' to resolve international conflicts.
Italy has been invited to join the 'Board of Peace' but faces constitutional issues preventing participation.
