From Nullah to Oasis: Pune's Osho Teerth Park Transformation
Imagine a place that used to be a stinky, messy area with trash and dirty water.
Now, it's a beautiful park called Osho Teerth Park!
It was made by a group who wanted to make the area clean and green.
They cleaned up the water, planted lots of plants, and made paths for people to walk on.
Now, it's a peaceful place where you can see flowers, birds, and even statues.
Anyone can visit this park for free at certain times.
Osho Teerth Park in Pune was transformed from a garbage dump and open sewer into a tranquil oasis.
The transformation was initiated by the Shunya Foundation, part of the Osho International Foundation.
The project involved removing livestock, cleaning the water, and creating an irrigation grid.
The park features ponds, bridges, walking paths, a plant nursery, statues, and diverse vegetation.
