Bandra Police Book Hiren Bhagat Over Alleged ₹7.99 Crore Fraud
Bandra police have registered a case about an alleged financial fraud.
Amit Tipnis says he was promised help with large GST and VAT bills connected to his former company.
He says Hiren Bhagat and Akash Gupta directed him to send money to several accounts.
Tipnis says he transferred about ₹8 crore and also paid a chartered accountant ₹5 lakh.
He also alleged that his bank account was frozen.
Later, he said he was threatened when he asked what happened to the promised settlement.
Police have not arrested anyone in this case yet.
They are investigating the allegations and trying to locate the accused.
Bandra police registered an FIR against Hiren alias Romi Bhagat and associates over alleged cheating of former executive Amit Tipnis.
Tipnis alleged that Bhagat and Akash Gupta promised to help settle BWW Global’s outstanding GST and VAT liabilities.
He said he transferred about ₹8 crore to accounts provided by Gupta and paid chartered accountant Pujan Parmar ₹5 lakh.
Tipnis alleged that his Axis Bank account was frozen and that he later received threats when he sought updates on the settlement.
No arrests have been made; police are investigating and attempting to apprehend the accused.
