India Equity Outlook Recalibrated with Positive Bias

India Equity Outlook Recalibrated with Positive Bias

At the start of the year, India's equity outlook was positive, with a focus on large-cap stocks.

The Nifty 50 target for December 2026 was set at 29,150.

However, due to new challenges like the West Asian crisis and volatility in the Indian Rupee, the target has been revised to 26,700.

Despite this, there is still a positive outlook for the longer term, with a target of 29,000 for December 2027.

Sectors like Banking, Telecom, Consumption, and Realty are now seen as positive investments, while IT is considered a contrarian bet.

The market's performance is expected to improve in the second half of the fiscal year, contingent on stabilizing oil prices and easing geopolitical tensions.
