Bulgaria Launches Digital Nomad Visa Program
Bulgaria has started a new program that allows people who work remotely for companies outside the European Union to live in Bulgaria.
This program is called a digital nomad residence permit.
It is for people who work for companies in other countries, own or manage companies outside the EU, or have been working remotely for at least a year.
The permit is valid for one year and can be extended for another year.
People can apply for this permit starting from December 20, 2025.
It takes a few months to process the application, and once approved, people can move to Bulgaria and get an identification card.
This program helps Bulgaria attract more remote workers from around the world.
