Jamie Dimon Backs Tata Chairman Amid Boardroom Conflict

Jamie Dimon Backs Tata Chairman Amid Boardroom Conflict

Jamie Dimon, who leads JPMorgan Chase, praised N Chandrasekaran during a discussion about Tata Group.

He called Chandrasekaran an exceptional leader.

Dimon said he did not know every detail of the disagreement.

The dispute involves who should lead Tata Sons and how its board should make decisions.

Tata Sons’ board voted 4-1 to give Chandrasekaran another term.

The vote was scheduled to take effect in February 2027.

Noel Tata says the vote may not be valid because of a rule called Article 121.

Dimon also said that public disagreements can make investors less confident.

He believes clearer rules and policies could help India attract more investment.
