Collector Urges Adoption of Electric Vehicles
The district collector in Vijayawada asked people to use electric vehicles (EVs) to help the environment.
He launched a new electric two-wheeler called Orbiter by CASA TVS.
He said EVs are better for the environment and cheaper to use.
For example, an EV can travel 100 km for just Rs 25, while a petrol two-wheeler costs Rs 100 for 40 km.
He also mentioned that EVs are especially good for people with lower incomes, students, and government workers.
The collector plans to make it easier for these groups to buy EVs by helping them get loans.
